BIG WRECK IN CONCERT:
Beloved hard rockers Big Wreck have been bringing the ruckus since 1994, with no signs of slowing down. The band possesses a dynamic sound that can shift from hard rock to anthemic post-grunge all while still staying true to their unique style. At their live shows the band tears through popular tunes like "The Oaf (My Luck Is Wasted)" and the No. 1 smash hit "Albatross" alongside material from 2014's Ghosts with reckless abandon. With 20 years of touring experience under their belt, Big Wreck knows how to get ticket buyers headbanging at their rocking live sets.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Boston-based rock outfit Big Wreck formed in 1994 after the members met at the Berklee College of Music. They started to jam together and perform local shows near campus, eventually attracting attention from execs at Atlantic Records. They signed with the label and released their 1997 debut In Loving Memory Of..., which featured three Top 10 hits on the Canadian Alternative chart and a Top 10 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. Their widespread popularity throughout the Great White North -- where lead singer Ian Thornley grew up -- spawned several headlining tours in support of their breakout album. They followed up with 2001's The Pleasure and the Greed -- a popular album that featured three radio-friendly hits and continued to earn the band major acclaim. Since then they've released two more Top 10 albums including 2014's Ghosts and have proven themselves as mainstays within the rock genre. Fans can experience Big Wreck’s hit-filled catalog on full display whenever they take the stage on their high-octane tours.

Music was loud and LORD WAS IT GOOD! Very engaging and the venue was small but perfect. I’d gladly pay another $36 to see them again ANY DAY!
Incredible venue with outstanding sound. This show was unreal, even with the great and powerful Ian Thornley and Sekou Lumumba battling an illness! Can't wait until the next show!!
I won the tickets from Q107. Thanks for this opportunity. Big Wreck were Awesome! The only thing that was disturbing was these were floor tickets & I'm old lol. My daughter came with me & even her back was in pain. (she's 29!)
Amazing show! Amazing guitar solos. And what a voice!
Good venue. Easy in and out and great security. Ian Thornley is an amazing talent.
The band always delivers - solid musicianship and covered all the hits. History is a gem of a venue - well designed newer space with great sight lines , amenities/bars etc. the sound this night disappointed me however. I found it muddy and not as crisp as the band is entitled to given their capabilities and arrangements. The drums were also not mixed well in my view very hard to decipher the snare drum/backbeat and many of the fills and intricate parts were lost. But still a great show by a much beloved hometown band.
Ian Thornley is a musical anomaly in a world of mediocre attempts at finding new sounds and compilations. No band in North America can hold a candle to Big Wreck's musicianship right now going from folkie ballads to monster metal tracks and the range in Ian's vocal stylings going from sounding like a church choir in unison to a freight train roaring through a mountain pass. Musically Canada's best band on the scene right now!
Great show. Danny sounded great. Texas King was great, guitar solo pushes were late. Big Wreck fantastic except everything from the bass noted down to the kick was mud. Don't know if this happens at every loud show at this venue, but it really takes away from the musicianship of these fine players when you are straining to pick out bass notes. Big Wreck 5 stars. Sound 1 star.
Are there 10 stars? Amazing. They are the best band around. They sounded amazing. The venue sound was great. The small venue was intimate.
