Bangor Uncorked Tickets

For the price of the ticket, I expected really knowledgeable vendors and better tasting options. Instead there were people getting IV’s right next to vendors with foot massage and someone playing with a hula hoop to “attract” people to their spa table. I now know this isn’t an event my four friends and my husband will ever want to do again. The VIP area was laughable with drunk people passed out on the table next to us. Not to be snobbish, but a min dress code would have done a lot to give the event less of a backyard bbq and more of a chance to learn about and enjoy good wine and craft beer. Really unhappy with the cost vs value. Disappointing - we won’t be attending again and telling everyone we know not to bother.

We expected a more intimate and informative venue. Many of the people that poured the wine had no knowledge. When we asked for more information about the different wines and what would be a good pairing, we were referred to a informational paper on the tables. There were too many younger people there just to get drunk.

This was my third Uncorked Bangor event that I have had to pleasure of attending. I brought my oldest daughter as she had not experienced it before. We laughed all night. Some of the wine was really bad (We are not wine connoisseurs to say the least) and some were really good. Especially loved the Good and Bad Witch booth put on by Damon's. They were awesome. Thank you for such a lovely event - looking forward to next year's Uncorked.

I was hoping to be able to learn a little bit more about wine, but there didn’t seem to be anyone present who was knowledgeable. The guitarist was very enjoyable, and all of the vendors were engaged and pleasant. Paid a little extra for VIP early access and appetizers and was pretty disappointed that the appetizers consisted of a single tray of cheese and crackers behind a curtain.

There was a fair amount of wine to choose from and some nice vendors. There was a snack bar, but we would have enjoyed some more substantial food options and more seating besides our VIP area. We ended up leaving a bit early so we could grab dinner. The wine selections were great and the staff pouring them were all fantastic! The music was nice, but other than drinking and some light shopping, there wasn’t much else to do. Would have loved further activities. All in all, a good time!

I won't be spending money on VIP admission in the future, it wasn't worth it. General admission would have given the same experience with more money in my pocket. The "appetizers" were a wrecked cheese board. It was an absolute mess. Cheese trampled into the carpet and garnish everywhere. Not impressed.

Uncorked was fun and the variety of wines was good. The VIP pass was not worth it. The entire food table consisted of one tray (not per person, one per the whole crowd) of cheese, a few grapes, and crackers, which were slowly, slowly, sloooowwwllllyyyy, refilled.
