Auburn University Tigers Football History
The Auburn University Tigers football team have won two consensus national championships, in 1957 and 2010. Among the legends who have suited up for the Tigers are three Heisman Trophy winners: Pat Sullivan in 1971, Bo Jackson in 1985 and Cam Newton in 2010. Auburn has quite a few rivals in and out of the Southeastern Conference, including the University of Florida, Louisiana State University and the University of Georgia. "The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry" between the Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs dates back to Auburn's first season in 1892, and is said to be the origin of the "War Eagle" chant synonymous with Auburn football.
Some of the Tigers' greatest victories have come against another big rival, the University of Alabama's Crimson Tide, in the Iron Bowl. The Iron Bowl is held on Thanksgiving weekend every year, and alternates between being played at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium and Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium after decades of taking place at Legion Field in Birmingham. Due to the intense cross-state rivalry and the consistent success of both programs, the Iron Bowl frequently has conference and national championship implications. Legendary moments in the series include the "Punt Bama Punt" game in 1972, when Auburn came back from a 16-0 deficit in the last 10 minutes to upset No. 2 Alabama; in 2017, when No. 6 Auburn upset the No. 1 Crimson Tide en route to an SEC Championship Game appearance; and the infamous "Kick Six" game in 2013, when Chris Davis ran back a 57-yard missed field goal attempt for a walk-off touchdown against No. 1 Alabama.

I enjoyed spending quality time with father, Daddy Freeze.
Great time. Tickets were perfect. Not a bad seat anywhere in the Georgia Dome. Purchase was easy, ticket pickup was easy. Had a blast and Auburn won!
This was an outstanding game. I shared this winning moment with my husband to bring in the new year. This was a great game in a great atmosphere, with great people. It was very close in the beginning, but against all odds, tech calls and flags that they kept calling on Auburn, we came out on top. Cheaters never win. Winners never quit. Glad I could be there and be a part of a new year celebration.
The game was great and the Dome is nice. Atlanta and Marta is another story.
Purchased reserved parking in advance made parking a breeze. CSC personnel at door provided information on seating and entry. First time at Georgia Dome, won't be the last. The food was terrible from the Big Dawg stand. Stay away from the brats. Overpriced and the quality was bad.
We live locally, but had never been to this game or any other college game. my son and I arrived early, walked around Centennial Olympic Park and scoped out the parade route downtown. We ate lunch at a restaurant we had seen on the Food Network, we watched the parade line up. We actually got into the parade at the end, following the Auburn Band into Fan Fest. We had a great meal and live entertainment at the MVP Tailgate party, then went back to Fan Fest for the pep rallies and team walk-throughs. The game was a great topper to the evening too. We have attended several events at the GA Dome and there isn't a bad seat in the house in my opinion.
A great bowl game and great way to spend a New Years Eve. We didn't have a team in the game. We were in town and thought it would be a fun family event and a thrll for our 10 year old son. We all had a blast! If in town again next year, we may go again.
