Arooj Aftab Tickets

I am a fan of Arooj Aftab, but I was disappointed in this concert. They played a rather short set with no encore. She seemed more interested in selling merch than connecting with the audience. She made it clear that they would not be appearing at the merch table so "we won't have to smell each other."At the end she announced that they would play one more song "and then we're out of here."Obviously they didn't really want to be there in the first place. The quality of her singing and the performances by Vijay Dyer and Shahzad Ismaily were good. Audio quality was excellent. This is a good venue. Also, since most of the audience does not understand Urdu, it would help to explain what the songs are about.

I love Aftab's voice but they only played for an hour and she seemed to complain about it. I understand they were at the end of the tour and tired but this was disappointing. Music was lovely though.
