Nine years in I guess I should be used to this, but what part of tailgating do Jerry and Arlington just not get? You show up at dawn, you go home at midnight, and some where in-between there is football. That’s how tailgating works, at least in the civilized world, but certainly not here. Here, you show up and the parking lot’s not open so you park at the curb to unload your gear as fast as you can and you get harassed over that. Then you get in line forever (if you can get to there at all because they close all the streets) because they are never going to open the lot. Then they don’t like the way you park your truck. Then they don’t like where you put the generator. Then, for God’s sake, they don’t like your gas can. Please? Gas cans must not be in the parking space where the generator is! Please? Should we keep it back at the house? All very polite they are but, please, can we just tailgate here? No complaints about the stadium. Great seats, great club. $9.00 beer not much different from $8.00 at Kyle Field. Great air-conditioning, we should have built some of that. Great game as usual, the Hogs and the Aggies always come to play. Actually, I do have a complaint. Why is it like physically impossible to get from the visitors’ side back to Lot 4? This is always an hour-long exercise. Back at the tailgate, we barely have the burgers done and the brats on the grill before parking Nazis come and tell us it’s time to leave!! At 4:00 in the afternoon? Are they insane? But it’s their parking lot, so I start picking up, supplies then food then chairs … the natural order. But then troops with guns in a mini assault vehicle suggest that TV’s and tents should come first. Would you say no? This is insane. We get out as fast as we can. We were not quite the last ones out but it was still a sad sight. A bright, sunny Saturday afternoon, a great football game just got over less than a thousand yards away, and not a tailgater in view. It was just wrong! We sulked back to the hotel and contemplated a real tailgate next week in College Station at Reed Arena. I’ll be back next year, the facilities can’t be beat, but the rules … they really need to learn how tailgating works.
This was one of the best football games I have ever seen. The aggies were bad the first half, but Arkansas had issues the second half, then the game went to overtime!
Amazing comback win for the HOGS! Welcome to the SEC
Terrific game in the best venue in the nation! Texas A&M will be an outstanding addition to the SEC in the years to come.
Probably the most exciting sporting event i have ever attended. Cowboys stadium was unreal. So big and beautiful. Easy in and out. Very organized with parking and getting in and out of the stadium and back onto I 30.
Game was awesome. However, you have to do a better job matching up parling lots to close entries. I was assigned Lot 4 and had entry K. I am a season ticket holder for Cowboys and I park in Lot 10 for Entry K
Smooth easy to get to and get out of. Being able to visit other fans in the parking lot. The Staduim is the best in the World without a doubt. Being able to watch the game on the field and then see it replayed on the big screen that you can see is like being at home. It is just a wonderfull experience from great food to having space to move around when your not in your set you just cannot beat it. I tell everybody wherever I go you have to visit the Staduim and you need to see a game there.
Great location, too bad A&M lost & you can't miss any play with that giant TV
The game was just awesome, I am so glad I spent the money for those tickets! First time in the Cowboy stadium, it's beautiful!
