Amos Lee was born Ryan Anthony Massaro on June 22, 1977 in Philadelphia and graduated an English major from the University of South Carolina. After graduation, he worked as a teacher and bartender as he pursued a career as a singer-songwriter, and scored a record deal from Blue Note Records after his manager submitted his demo. He toured with labelmate Norah Jones and Bob Dylan, and then on his own before recording his self-titled debut album in 2005, showcasing his unique fusion of folk, jazz, and rock, anchored by his sophisticated songwriting and soulful voice. The following year, Lee released his sophomore effort Supply and Demand featuring the single "Shout Out Loud", and put out his third album Last Days at the Lodge in 2008, diversifying his instrumentation and enhancing his neo soul sound. In 2011, his fourth studio album Mission Bell debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, with appearances by Lucinda Williams and Willie Nelson, and featured his hit single "Windows are Rolled Down". In recent years, Lee has captivated tickets owners in concert with Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, and Adele, and he just released his folky, country-tinged fifth album Mountains Of Sorrow, Rivers Of Song in October 2013, recorded in Nashville with vocal support from Alison Krauss and Patty Griffin.

He had me at "Hello!"His voice was beautiful and the band was tight. I loved watching them perform together. Amos was very gracious and humble. The Indigo girls were also great. It was so much fun singing along with them
The concert was amazing. I love the way the entire band gets an opportunity to showcase their talents. Each one is a musical magician! This was my 12th or 13th time seeing them and each show is different. There are a few songs you know he's going to sing but they mix it up and adds in new music and mashups. The only reason I'm giving the overall show a 4 and not a 5 is The Indigo Girls came in 30 minutes late. This was super inconsiderate being that there was a hard stop at 10:30. They should have cut their set short instead of encroaching on Amos Lee's time in stage. This was my first time at The Greek Theater and I thought it was a really nice venue.
It was a great lineup, Indigo Girls and Amos Lee. I am a big fan of both. I brought a friend who wasn't very familiar with either. She really liked Amos Lee. I have been listening to his music for years, and I was so happy that he sang two of my favorite songs (Arms of a Woman and Sweet Pea). The thing I wasn't expecting was his joyous spirit. I am not a religious person, but he is a blessed soul. Such a pleasure to spend time listening to him and his terrific band.
We have seen Amos Lee tour all over the place, but this was our first time seeing him at The Greek Theater in LA! The show was so wonderful, we only wish he could have performed longer! He and and his band are ALL amazingly talented - singing and playing their instruments. If you have never seen an Amos Lee show, or have never heard of him - do yourself a grand favor and look him up! His music is soulful, beautiful, and ever so meaningful!
I saw Amos Lee in concert for the first time many years ago when he was first starting out with his career and I remember him being good on stage but this time, he and his band completely blew me away! His effortless dialogue and connection with the audience, his heartful sharings, his collaborations with the band, and his soaring vocals that brought me to tears at times were all really special. I'm so grateful I was there to experience it.
The collective love felt for the music, musicians, and everyone there was felt deeply. Indigo Girls and Amos Lee both surpassed my already high expectations.
I am so blessed to be in great company. My Amos Lee road dawg Tonia?? met up with another set of road Cindi, Leslie and her Man ?? The entire experience was epic????. 2nd time at Red Rocks heavenly venue, magical???? ?????????? Amos and Company, Phoenomal?? Can not say enough good stuff?? best experience ever. Keep climbing ???? came all the way from New Jersey???? yeah baby.
I wish Indigo Girls was main performance. Amos Lee was just ok.
I mostly came to see Amos Lee and he was absolutely amazing! Would definitely go see him again. The Indigo Girls didn't thrill me. I know they have die hard fans and they seem to have enjoyed the show but they don't sound nearly as good as they used to and I wouldn't pay to see them again. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, but my biggest gripe is that we were there 45 minutes early and we could NOT find parking. Every single place in the area was asking $40 to $50 to park. Seems excessive to me considering how much I paid for the ticket itself. I drove around a little bit to see if I could find something less expensive but there's very little parking in the area. I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to pay but when we got closer to the venue all of the places said that we had to pay cash only. We didn't have cash and we couldn't find an ATM close enough so we ended up having to go park further away and by the time we paid ($40) and walked over, we missed a good part of the concert. At that point, having missed as much as we had, I would have just sat outside and listened and skipped buying tickets all together ??
