Air Supply on Tour
For a group so strongly associated with defining the pop template for a particular era, Air Supply have proved to be impressively timeless. Their blockbuster hits from the 1980s still stand up as strongly as ever with mellow, melodic charm. And after all the water that's passed under the bridge, frontmen Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell are still hitting the stage together, entwining their voices to achieve the same magic that's sold millions of albums and earned them adoring fans around the globe. While their tours have offered something special in every era, Air Supply took their live show to another level when they launched their 2019 jaunt The Lost in Love Experience, presenting their hit-heavy set with the esteemed assistance of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and achieving an even grander onstage sound than ever.?
Air Supply in Concert
Aussie singer Russell Hitchcock and British singer-songwriter Graham Russell, the team that makes Air Supply breathe, first began working together in Melbourne back in 1975. They released their first, self-titled album a year later, but initially achieved only modest success in Australia, and it took a few years for them to break out in America. The big moment finally came in 1980 with their fifth album, Lost in Love, which turned out to be a monster in the States. The record bowled Americans over with three huge hit singles: "All Out of Love," "Lost in Love" and "Every Woman in the World." Between Hitchcock and Russell's vocal blend and the melodic appeal of their carefully crafted pop ballads, Air Supply became full-fledged stars. If anyone ever wants a definition of what adult pop was about in the first half of the '80s, you need only point to Air Supply, whose hits defined the adult contemporary sound of the era. But the Air Supply story extends far beyond the '80s — Hitchcock and Russell have never stopped bringing their music to the fans, and they continue to pump fresh oxygen to a waiting world.?
The seats were great, the concert was fantastic, no stop singing , very engaged with the fans.
I had a great time at the Air Supply concert. It was a dream come true. The theater was packed, and well organized.
That was a fantastic concert ??! They are always wonderful. I love them…??
Air Supply was amazing- in every aspect! Russell can still sing and Graham did a fabulous solo on his acoustic guitar. The band was phenomenal. Hats off to Aaron! SO happy they did I Can Wait Forever which is no easy song to sing. Great job Russell! As always, Russell and Graham were warm and engaging. Love their banter on stage, getting the crowd up and cheering and into the show. They always do a shoutout to the armed services which is so heart-warming but they are never political which is MUCH APPRECIATED. Their message is always just about loving our neighbor. At the end , they make time to sign a few things from the stage and high-five fans. It's clear they love their fans as much as we love them! Next year is their 50th anniversary. Please make Stamford a stop on the 50th tour! I for one will be there.
Wonderful show, they are still amazing!! Can't wait to see them again
Great night of hit music. My wife loved it, brought back all those great memories.
A great time was had by the entire crowd. They are and will always be AWESOME.
My wife has dreamed of going to an Air Supply concert since she was a ten year old. Surprised her with tickets. They did not disappoint, these guys are fantastic. The concert was very energetic and the level of skill from the band and vocalists was truly impressive. If you have a chance to go to a concert, do it!!!
Could not ask for a better experience, keep up the good work
The Air Supply concert was fantastic. Over the past 40 + years I have seen them many times. Russell's voice is still phenomenal. Graham's song writing is as great as ever. Their band is also fantastic. Next year is Air Supply's 50th anniversary!
